I’m first and foremost a Solution Architect and DevSecOps engineer. I’m very keen in managing infrastructure and keeping it secure, performant and efficient. I practice Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and have 5 years experience in running mission-critical and business-critical environments in both Azure and AWS. I believe in cloud-native designs, meaning I do not “lift&shift” existing environments to the cloud, unless it is an step towards migrating to a cloud-native design.

My career spans over 30 years working in various industries but the core of my experience comes from working in the telecom industry (fixed, mobile) and digital broadcasting (STB, OTT).

I use mostly open-source technologies like Ubuntu, RedHat, Debian, Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, Helm, Kafka, strimzi, harbor, gitlab, gitlab ci, kubecost, kubescape, terraform, checkov, grafana, prometheus.

I help businesses solve their IT challenges such as automation and containerization on public and hybrid cloud environments by using customized open source solutions.

I think out of the box by definition and determine what solutions align best with a problem. Then, I choose the simplest one to solve the problem (KISS) and outline the impact as well as alternatives that I see.

I work in an “Agile” manner, meaning quick results first and then incremental improvements in full alignment with your wishes and requirements. Although I’ve done Scrum Master trainings, I never certified nor have I had any scrum teams under my responsibility.

Solutions have to be easy to maintain, by anyone, not just experts. So I choose options (from the available solutions) that are stable, easy to maintain and provide your business with a high continuity and availability.

After 25+ years in IT, I have a rather large set of experiences and developed a significant skill set. Details can be found in my LinkedIn Profile.

Additionally, I help SME with websites and web presences and below is a more detailed overview of some of my favorite projects.
